The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti region, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, has emphasized that he holds no animosity toward Alan Kojo Kyerematen.
He clarified that every decision he made as a regional chairman in response to Alan Kyerematen’s resignation was motivated by the party’s best interests.
Chairman Wontumi conveyed this message during a press conference convened in Kumasi.
He clarified, “when Alan Kyerematen said he had resigned from the party, that was when I had an engagement with the party in the region, and it came to a conclusion that we remove all his posters from our party offices. It wasn’t done because I hate him”, he clarified.
Wontumi further explained that since the former flagbearer aspirant was no longer affiliated with the party, it was appropriate to discard any materials associated with him.
The decision followed the directive of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership in the Ashanti Region, which instructed all regional chairpersons in the 47 constituencies to promptly remove all posters, banners, and campaign materials linked to Alan Kyerematen from their party offices.
