Tano North schools receive 2,000 desks from NPP PC, Gideon Boako

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Tano North Constituency and Spokesperson to the Vice President, Dr. Gideon Boako, has donated 2,000 dual desks to the Tano North Municipal Education Directorate.

This initiative aims to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the municipality.

The donation aligns with Dr. Boako’s broader vision of elevating educational standards in Tano North, ensuring that every child in the area has access to quality education and the necessary tools to succeed.

During a brief ceremony in Duayaw Nkwanta, Dr. Boako, accompanied by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ernest Kwarteng, emphasized the importance of education in societal development.

He noted that the desks would be distributed to schools in need, addressing the furniture shortages that have long been a challenge in the area.

“Education and human capital development have always been at the forefront of my priorities,” Dr. Boako stated. “This is why I have invested heavily in the youth of this area, sponsoring many to pursue higher education both in Ghana and abroad. Quality education is the bedrock of societal progress, and I am dedicated to ensuring that students in Tano North receive the best possible learning environment.”

Dr. Boako further expressed his commitment to working closely with the government, alongside President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia, to continue supporting the development of education in the region. He assured the gathering that efforts to address the challenges faced by schools would remain a top priority, with the goal of creating a conducive learning environment for all students.

He also urged school authorities to maintain the desks properly, stressing the importance of caring for the resources provided to the schools to ensure their longevity.

In addition to his focus on infrastructure, Dr. Boako offered words of encouragement to students currently sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), urging them to approach their exams with confidence. He assured them of his best wishes and prayers for their success.

Mr. Ekow Mensa, the Tano North Municipal Education Director, expressed deep gratitude for the timely donation, highlighting that this intervention would significantly alleviate the furniture shortages in schools and improve the overall educational experience for students.

He also commended the teachers in the municipality for their continued dedication, urging them to persist in their efforts to build a robust educational system, which he described as crucial for the future of the region.
