One of the many individuals concerned about the activities of charlatan prophets in the country is former President and flagbearer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama.
Mr Mahama, no longer able to bear the adverse effect such individuals pose, such as defrauding and endangering the lives of Christians through hazardous directives, has called on the Christian Council rise to the occasion and address the canker.
The former president, while delivering a speech at an induction service at the Tanoso Assemblies of God Church over the weekend, entreated the Council to take pragmatic steps which would weed out the false prophets.
He advocated for a stern scrutiny of practices in the Christian community to ensure ethical conduct within the church.
Until such imposters are gotten rid off, Mr Mahama fears the Christian community would continue to see a decline in its number.
Meanwhile, the former president has entreated Christians to remain vigilant in order to fish out the false prophets from the true men of God.
