The Ministry of Health (MoH) has directed the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to submit a comprehensive report within 30 days regarding the investigation into the alleged abandonment of a patient at Gomoa Ojobi in the Central Region.
On Friday, June 14, the GHS announced the launch of a probe into the incident, which had gained significant attention following the circulation of a video on Thursday, June 13.
The video purportedly depicts a woman, wrapped in sheets, left abandoned in a bush.
The incident, which has sparked considerable discussion on social media, involves allegations that the woman was abandoned by an ambulance from the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba.
In a directive issued to the GHS on Friday, June 14, Health Minister Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye stressed the necessity for the investigation to be completed and a report submitted to his office within 30 days from the establishment of the committee.
