Veteran Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall artist and media personality Root Eye has lauded Stonebwoy for his significant impact on the music scene both in Ghana and internationally.
In an interview with Hitz FM on August 29, 2024, Root Eye, born Kwesi Nyarko Ofei, spoke highly of Stonebwoy, now referring to him as “Honourable Satekla” due to his outstanding role as a music ambassador for Ghana.
Root Eye praised Stonebwoy’s efforts, saying, “I now call him Honourable Satekla because he stands as the top Ghanaian music ambassador. His success is taking Ghanaian music to unprecedented heights.”
He continued, “Honestly, Stonebwoy is living out the dreams that many of us aspired to but couldn’t realize. Through his achievements, we’re seeing our dreams come to fruition. His contributions and role are invaluable.”
Root Eye’s career began in 1997 as a radio presenter with Skyy Power FM and continued with Ashh FM in Kumasi until 2005.
He later joined Hot FM in Accra, founded Hyphaus company managing artists such as Reggy Zippy and KK Fosuand has also worked with Hitz FM and hosted TV3’s “Music Music” for several years.
