Former Liverpool legend John Barnes believes Mohammed Kudus has the potential to succeed Mohamed Salah at the club in the future.
Salah, who joined Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, is in the final year of his contract and is attracting interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, making his future at Anfield uncertain.
Barnes suggests that the Black Stars midfielder could be an ideal replacement for the Egyptian winger due to his qualities and playing style.
He notes that Kudus is dynamic, direct, and possesses a style of play similar to Salah’s.
“Kudus was fantastic. He was sensational for West Ham last season. Even Mohamed Salah says he won’t be here in three years’ time, so that could be a role that Kudus takes on.
“He’s young, he’s dynamic, he’s direct, and he plays in a similar fashion to Mo,” he told BettingExpert.
