Team Ghana is gearing up for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France, set to depart on Wednesday, July 10, as announced by Ben Nunoo Mensah, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC). This announcement came during the unveiling of Team Ghana’s official kit for the Games.
Expressing gratitude, Ben Nunoo Mensah acknowledged the financial support of the French Embassy in Ghana, which contributed 20,000 Euros towards the Ghanaian contingent.
Marine Hayem, the Cooperation Attaché of the French Embassy, emphasized their commitment to promoting sports in Ghana through this contribution.
The Olympics are scheduled to take place from July 26 to August 11, featuring nine athletes from Team Ghana.
Among them is Rose Yeboah, who clinched the high jump gold at the 2023 African Games and recently secured another victory at the Africa Athletics Championship in Douala, Cameroon.
Additionally, Ghana’s 4×100 Men’s Relay Team earned their spot in the Olympics after qualifying at the World Relays in Bahamas.
