Ghanaian actor, Yaw Dabo, via his Justify Your Inclusion exercise has paved way for a hidden diamond to be discovered by a Spanish scout.
On June 10 in Kumai, aspiring players showcase their skills in hopes of being selected for the academy.
Out of the lot, Terry Baah Emmanuel’s star shone the brightest, drawing the attention of Spanish scout, Xavi Hildago. He was the first player to be selected.
Interacting with a blogger, Terry Baah Emmanuel noted that she was awe-shocked to have been the first to be picked out of the many talents that showed up.
“There were lot of people here but I prayed that I be selected. I was elated to have been called,” he said in the local parlance.
According to him, every Ghanaian playing football has the dream to play abroad thus “if I now have the opportunity to do same, I thank God.”
The 15-year-old left attacking midfielder who turns 16 on December 22 also used the opportunity to express his gratitude to Yaw Dabo for the investment he is making in young talents.
To his family and friend, Emmanuel urged that “please keep supporting us” with the hope that “everything works out for my good in the future.”

Yaw Dabo owns Dabo Soccer Academy which aims to nurture young football talents in Ghana and beyond.
The Ghanaian actor recently concluded a successful European tour that has garnered significant attention and praise. The 15-year-old prodigy embarked on this journey with high hopes and determination to showcase his skills on the international stage.
During his tour, Dabo’s talents caught the eye of renowned Spanish sports newspaper, Marca. Following an exhilarating match between Real Madrid and Manchester City, Dabo was interviewed by Marca, further cementing his growing reputation.
Not stopping there, Dabo seized the opportunity to visit some of Europe’s most prestigious clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Ajax, and Dortmund. These visits provided him with invaluable insights into the workings of top-tier football clubs and exposed him to world-class training facilities.
One of the highlights of Dabo’s journey was a meeting with Otto Addo, a former coach of the Black Stars. The encounter with Addo proved to be a pivotal moment, as Dabo benefited greatly from the mentorship and guidance offered by the seasoned football expert.
“I have learned a lot, especially when I went to Dortmund. The knowledge he imparted to me was truly remarkable,” Dabo shared with Ghanaweb.
