Chippa United, a South African club, eyes Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori as a potential replacement for their departing Nigerian goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali.
Nwabali’s departure from the club has prompted Chippa United to consider Ofori, who currently plays for Orlando Pirates, as his successor.
The 27-year-old Nigerian shot-stopper gained prominence following his stellar performance for the Super Eagles during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Several clubs, including Saudi club El-Ettifaq and English Championship side Queens Park Rangers, have expressed interest in Nwabali.
With Ofori’s contract with Orlando Pirates set to expire soon, Chippa United is keen to secure his services for the upcoming season.
