Real Madrid is set to make a move for Real Valladolid defender Mohammed Salisu in the summer transfer window, GHANAsoccernet.com can report.
The Ghanaian defender has been impressive in his debut season for Valladolid.
According to reports, Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane is unimpressed with Eder Militao and Nacho Fernandez at the center of defense and the club has targeted signing defenders in the summer.
Real are looking to bring in young players to understudy the ageing Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane = in the summer with Salisu among the list of targets for the Los Blancos.
Real Madrid is in the lead for the young defender who is also being chased by Manchester United.
The 20-year old has been consistent for Valladolid before the break of the football season due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Salisu has made 27 appearances in all competitions and has scored one goal.
