‘It will be beautiful and strange when football returns’ – Alfred Duncan

Fiorentina midfielder Alfred Duncan admits football will be ‘strange’ and not ‘completely normal’ when it restarts.

Football has been halted across the world because of the spread of the deadly coronavirus and in Italy no game has been played since March 9.

However, there is the likelihood football will resume in June with the Italian football federation revealing players will be tested before the league restarts.

Duncan who wants to return to what he loves doing the most believes football will have a different feel after the coronavirus.

“It will be beautiful and strange, because the conditions will not be completely normal,” he told calciomercato. “We should learn to live with continuous controls and monitoring, but at least we will be able to go back to doing what we like best, and this would already be a conquest,” he added.

The 26-year old Ghana international joined La Viola in the winter transfer window from Sassuolo before the suspension of the league.
