Naz seals West Ham’s victory against Tottenham

In a thrilling Women’s Super League encounter, Jessica Naz scored a dramatic winner as Tottenham came from behind to beat West Ham 4-3 at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Tottenham initially took the lead with Grace Clinton’s early goal, but Risa Shimizu equalized for West Ham.

Celin Bizet and Clinton’s second goal extended Tottenham’s lead in the second half. However, quickfire goals from Viviane Asseyi and Amber Tysiak leveled the game for West Ham.

Naz then scored the decisive winner, deepening West Ham’s relegation concerns.

Clinton’s promising start included a superb turn and low shot for Tottenham’s first goal. Angharad James and Bethany England also created goal-scoring opportunities for the visitors.

Shimizu equalized for West Ham in the 35th minute, while Bizet and Clinton’s second extended Tottenham’s lead. Despite West Ham pulling back with goals from Asseyi and Tysiak, Naz’s goal in the 76th minute secured the victory for Tottenham.

Despite a late attempt by West Ham’s Katrina Gorry hitting the woodwork, Tottenham held on to secure the thrilling 4-3 victory in the Women’s Super League encounter.
