Proposals have been put forward to name the gates of the new Camp Nou after significant figures in the club’s history.
For instance, gate number 10 is slated to be named after Lionel Messi, while gate number 20 will honour Sergi Roberto, and so forth.
Camp Nou, the renowned home stadium of FC Barcelona, stands as one of the world’s most successful and beloved football arenas.
Originally opened in 1957, the stadium boasts a seating capacity of 99,354.
Presently, Camp Nou is undergoing a significant renovation initiative known as Espai Barça, aimed at modernising and enhancing the facility.
Upon completion, the renovated stadium will feature an expanded seating capacity of 105,000, along with amenities such as a retractable roof, a state-of-the-art 360-degree screen, solar panels, and other environmentally friendly features.
The Espai Barça project is slated for completion by the year 2026.
