Kudus not at Ghana’s camp for the 2023 AFCON yet – Report

Six days into the Black Stars’ training camp for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus has not yet reported to camp, according to reports.

Despite being one of the 27 players invited by coach Chris Hughton to boost Ghana’s chances in the tournament, there has been no official information regarding his delayed arrival from either the Ghana Football Association or West Ham.

The Black Stars have been training since January 1, 2023, at the Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Kumasi as they intensify preparations for the competition.

On January 8, 2024, they are scheduled to face Namibia in their final pre-tournament activity before departing for Ivory Coast.

The Black Stars’ tournament opener against Cape Verde is set for January 14, 2024, at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium at 8:00 p.m. Ghana time (20:00 GMT).

The highly anticipated clash between Egypt’s Mohammed Salah and West Ham United’s Mohammed Kudus is slated for January 18, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. (20:00 GMT) at the same venue.

Ghana’s last group-stage match against Mozambique will take place on January 22, 2024, at the Olympic Stadium of Obimpe, starting at 8:00 p.m. Ghana time (20:00 GMT).
