The Ghana Football Association (GFA) should appoint an experienced coach for the Black Stars, according to Black Starlets head coach Abdul Karim Zito.
The four-time champion are without a coach after Otto Addo left the role following the Stars exit from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana finished bottom of Group H with three points after losing to Portugal and Uruguay, having beaten South Korea in between.
“Our players are young, so they need an experienced coach to guide these boys.”
“They are young and want to do everything for themselves so it will be prudent to get a senior coach to guide them,” he said.
Meanwhile, Karim Zito will steer the affairs of the Black Starlets for the next one year and will be assisted by Laryea Kingson and Jacob Nettey.
Karim Zito, who has managed Asante Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak, Feyenoord Academy (WAFA), King Faisal and Kwaebibirem FC is a gold medallist at the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
