I was paid GH¢150 as salary at Asante Kotoko Samuel Inkoom

Former Asante Kotoko right-back Samuel Inkoom has disclosed he was receiving GH¢150.00 as monthly salary during his time at Porcupine Warriors.

Inkoom who played an integral role for Asante Kotoko during the 2007/2008 Ghana Premier League season indicated that he was receiving the lowest salary at the club then.

The former FC Basel defender was commenting on his days at Kotoko in an interview with Kumasi based Fox FM.

“I was playing for Kotoko with passion. I cherished the team and I was a supporter before joining the team”, Inkoom told Fox FM.

“I was receiving the lowest salary at Kotoko despite my extraordinary form for the team. Frankly, I was receiving GH¢150.00 as monthly salary but I was not perturbed because I was not looking at the money but the future.

Samuel Inkoom played for Kotoko from 2008-2009 season, winning the 2007-2008 Ghana Premier League title under coach Bashiru Hayford.

Currently, Samuel Inkoom plays for Bulgarian side Dunav Ruse. He was part of Ghana U-20 side that won both the Africa Youth Championship in Rwanda and the U-20 FIFA World Cup in Egypt.
