Ghanaian football powerhouse Hearts of Oak has confirmed the transfer of midfielder Glid Otanga to Qatari club Al Kharaitiyat SC.
The Congolese midfielder is set to join the newly promoted side for the upcoming season and is anticipated to play a key role.
While Hearts of Oak did not reveal the specifics of the deal, reports suggest that Otanga has moved on a loan agreement.
The club announced on X (formerly Twitter), “Glid Otanga has officially been transferred to Al Kharaitiyat SC in Qatar. We wish him all the best.”
Otanga, who joined Hearts of Oak in 2022, has been pivotal in the team’s success, including their triumph in the Ghanaian FA Cup.
His standout performances caught the eye of numerous clubs, but he opted for a move to Al Kharaitiyat SC.
The addition of Otanga is expected to bolster Al Kharaitiyat SC’s squad as they prepare for the new season.
Prior to his stint in Ghana, Otanga played for Akonangui FC in Equatorial Guinea and Coton Sport FC de Garoua in Cameroon.
His experience across various African leagues has endowed him with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of the game, making him a valuable asset for any team.
