Happy to be back – Partey after decisive victory over Chelsea

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey expressed his delight at participating in the team’s resounding 5-0 triumph in Tuesday night’s London derby against Chelsea.

The 30-year-old has faced challenges with playing time due to injuries and competition from players like Jorginho and Declan Rice.

However, he made his fifth Premier League start of the season against Chelsea, signaling a return to the starting lineup.

Partey played a crucial role in Arsenal’s impressive victory, demonstrating his midfield prowess for 72 minutes.

Following the match, he expressed his joy and satisfaction with the team’s outstanding performance.

“I’m happy to be back in the team and also to get a win in the derby,” he said as quoted by Arsenal.com. “It’s a really important game, so I’m very happy. Everything depends on us. We have to continue winning our games, we have a few more games left and we have to win them all.

Arsenal will target another win when they visit Old Trafford to play Manchester United who are aiming to make seal a place in European competitions next season.

Thomas Partey will have a year left on his contract at the end of the season and get consistency to the side will be key in determining his future as Arsenal chase their first Premier League trophy in 20 years.
