GPL Week 11: Preview of Karela United vs Hearts of Oak

After a last gasp win in Accra against Bechem  United, Hearts of Oak will look to extend their unbeaten run of games to five when they travel to the Akoon Park to play inconsistent Karela United.

The match week 11 game in the Ghana Premier League is expected to produce an entertaining encounter with games between the two producing loads of goals.

The last time Hearts of Oak traveled to play Karela United in the GPL, they were humbled by the ‘Anyinase’ Boys, a game they lost 3-1.

However, the rivalry between the two was further enhanced with both teams qualifying to the semis of the Normalisation Special Cup from the Southern Zone.

Ahead of Wednesday’s clash at the Akoon Park, Karela United have won only a game in their last five matches. A poor run of form that has characterised the club this season.

Meanwhile, the Phobians have not lost a game since suffering a painful defeat to arch rivals Asante Kotoko in Accra on Match Day 6.

The inform Ghanaian giants have an almost fit squad for the clash, with Mitchelle Sarpong set to return to the match day squad since returning from injury.

Striker Kofi Kordzi has been the club’s livewire after his match winning exploits against Dreams FC and just over the weekend against Bechem United.

Karela United attacker Diawise Taylor looks to have also found his goal-scoring boots after scoring in recent games.

Prediction:

Karela United 1-3 Hearts of Oak
