Ghana and Argentina allegedly agree on a friendly in March

Argentina, the reigning World Cup champions, have purportedly agreed to engage in a friendly match against Ghana’s national team, the Black Stars.

According to reports emanating from Argentina, the match is scheduled to take place in China on a provisional date of March 26, 2024.

This friendly encounter is one of the two matches the World Champions have slated for the first international break of the year.

Prior to facing the Black Stars, Argentina is set to play against China. Notably, this marks the second meeting between Argentina and Ghana since their 2009 clash, which saw Argentina secure a 1-0 victory.

These matches serve as valuable preparation for the South American Champions as they gear up for the 2024 Copa America.

Currently holding both the Copa America and FIFA World Cup titles, Argentina is ranked as the top national team globally.

In contrast, Ghana holds the 61st position in the world rankings, reflecting their less-than-ideal performance in recent years, with no advancement beyond the group stage in their last three major tournaments.
