German-born duo handed maiden Ghana call-up for Brazil friendly

German-born duo Stephan Ambrosious and Ransford Yeboah Konigsdorffer have received their first invite to the Black Stars ahead of the September friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

The two players were among the five players named by the Ghana FA to have switched nationality and ready to play for the Black Stars in July.

 

 

Coach Otto Addo has named Ambrosious and Konigsdorffer in his 29-man squad and they will be available to make their Ghana debut against Brazil and Nicaragua if selected.

Stephan Ambrosius is currently on loan to Karlsruher SC from Hamburg and has made three appearances in the Bundesliga II.

Ransford Konigsdorffer has two goals in five appearances for Hamburg this season.

Ghana will play Brazil on Friday, September 23, at Stade Oceane in Le Harve- France before taking on Nicaragua at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Lorca, Spain on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
