Former Kotoko management member David Serebour wants Menhyia to audit Dr. Kwame Kyei

Former management member of Asante Kotoko, David Serebour is pleading with the club’s owners to audit Executive Chairman Dr Kwame Kyei following the recent spate of payments by the club in penalties.

The Porcupine Warriors have been charged to pay former coaches C.K Akonnor and Kjetil Zachariassen over the abrupt end to their stay at the club.

Kotoko risk paying another $30,000 owed Esperance following the continuous transfer of former Berekum Chelsea striker Emmanuel Clottey.

David Serebour is unconvinced by the financial state of the club calling for the thorough audit of Dr Kyei.

“It’s high time Manhyia Palace audits Dr Kwame Kyei for the period he has being at Kotoko or force him to constitute a board,” he told Oyerepa FM.

“All is not well with Kotoko, we risk paying GHc 20,000 for not constituting board, we have to settle Zachariassen, CK Akonnor and others which is Kotoko’s money. Nobody should say its Dr Kyei’s money, Kotoko pays back every penny he gives to the club.

“I personally told Dr Kyei about Zachariassen that it was a wrong choice but he won’t listen.

“Dr Kwame Kyei should account for the monies accrued from Africa. We will get to know if he’s spending his own money or Kotoko’s.

“Am ready to finance the auditing firm to do this job, I am pleading with Manhyia to audit him.”
