Cole Palmer’s first offer from Chelsea rejected by Man City

Manchester City rejected Chelsea‘s initial proposal for Cole Palmer, but a deal for the attacking midfielder is likely to be agreed upon at a value of approximately £45 million.

Chelsea is interested in signing Palmer, who is 21 years old, as a new player before the summer transfer window closes.

Mauricio Pochettino has agreed to a transfer for the England Under-21 player, wanting to add another player to the attacking team before Friday’s deadline.

The Evening Standard said that City did not accept Chelsea’s first offer of £35m for Palmer.

The city is asking for £50 million for a player from their academy. The report says that they are close to reaching an agreement, and they will probably find a compromise.

Palmer still has three more years on his contract at the Eithad Stadium. Pep Guardiola is willing to keep him, but it may be hard for Palmer to get chances to play on the main team because there are already many good attacking players on City’s team.

Palmer has only played 10 minutes in the Premier League this season. He came into the game late during the first victory against Burnley.

He also played in the Uefa Super Cup final against Sevilla and scored a goal. City won the match 5-4 on penalties.

Palmer has played in 41 games for City in total since his first big game in September 2020. He played 19 of those games in the league.

City are about to add another player to their team before the deadline. They have agreed with Wolves to get midfielder Matheus Nunes.

According to The Daily Telegraph, a deal worth £60 million has been agreed upon, after the first offer of £47 million was turned down. The former famous athlete has decided to go on strike to make sure the transfer happens. They have refused to practice this week.

Another talented young player from Manchester City, Tommy Doyle, is going to join Wolverhampton Wanderers for £5 million. As part of the deal, Manchester City will receive 50% of any future sale of Doyle.

We are still talking about the final details of the deal, such as how we will pay for it and when we will make payments.
