Coaching not the problem now, but the ‘greedy’ GFA search committee – Songo

Sports broadcaster Patrick Osei Agyemang, also known as Countryman Songo, has expressed his belief that the five-member committee established by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should demonstrate honesty by resigning from their positions.

Songo asserts that there are significant matters within Ghanaian football that must be addressed before the selection of the next Black Stars coach.

He emphasises the importance of resolving these internal issues before proceeding with the appointment process.

Songo advises the committee members not to be influenced by the monetary compensation they receive as sitting allowances and to prioritize making the right decisions for the future of Ghanaian football.

“Coaching is not the solution, the five-member committee are the problem. Common sense should tell them that what they are doing is not right,” the sports broadcaster said.

He added, “When somebody gives you a job and you the person taking the job realise that this job has problems that need to be taken care of, you should say no. Rather they are thinking about the money they can earn from sitting at the meeting.”

Songo expressed dissatisfaction with the leadership of Mark Addo who is Chairman of the Committee saying, “The one leading the committee is the one who led us to appoint Milovan Rajevac.”
