Chelsea has reportedly decided to part ways with coach Bruno Saltor, despite previous indications that he would be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s coaching staff.
The 42-year-old Spaniard’s contract has been settled, allowing him to leave Stamford Bridge.
This decision was reached through private discussions, with no official public announcement.
Bruno joined Chelsea alongside Graham Potter in September 2022. Chelsea paid a world-record compensation package of £21 million ($26 million) to Brighton to secure the services of the new manager and his coaching staff.

Currently, only two members of that initial coaching team, head of goalkeeping Ben Roberts and data analyst Kyle Macaulay, remain at the club.
Graham Potter’s tenure at Chelsea lasted for 31 games over seven months before he departed.
During the managerial transition to club legend Frank Lampard, Bruno was put on leave, but Chelsea later stated that he had returned to his role following Mauricio Pochettino’s appointment in the summer.
However, this arrangement has come to an end in less than four months, and Bruno is now allowed to move on.
Pochettino is counting on the remaining members of his coaching staff to turn Chelsea’s fortunes around in the coming weeks.
Questions have started to arise about his own future, as Chelsea, despite heavy spending, has only secured five points from six Premier League games in the 2023–24 season and missed out on European football after a 12th-place finish last season.
