Armando Broja has finished his loan transfer from Chelsea to Fulham for the rest of the season.
The specific financial terms of the deal were not revealed, but sources informed ESPN that Fulham will provide a loan fee of £4 million ($5.1 million) for the 22-year-old.
Additionally, one source mentioned that the loan fee would be eliminated if the Albanian international achieves 10 starts for Fulham.
“I’m very excited that we’ve reached an agreement to bring Armando Broja to Fulham on loan until the end of the season.
He’s a young and talented striker who is happy and motivated to join our squad,” Fulham CEO Tony Khan said in a club statement.
Broja has played 19 games for Chelsea this season, scoring his only Premier League goal against Fulham in October and another in the FA Cup third-round match against Preston North End last month.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino mentioned last month that the striker would play a crucial role for his team in the absence of Nicolas Jackson, who was away with the Senegal squad at the Africa Cup of Nations.
While Broja was part of the Chelsea squad that lost 4-1 to Liverpool on Wednesday, he didn’t get a chance to play.
The 22-year-old’s addition will be beneficial for Fulham, which has struggled to score with only 28 goals in 22 Premier League games.
Marco Silva’s team is set to face Burnley in their next Premier League fixture on Saturday.
