Chris Hughton, the newly appointed Black Stars coach, will lead the team till December 2024.
At a press conference the Ghana Football Association held to formally unveil him, this was confirmed.
According to the FA, Chris Hughton’s contract is in effect until December 2024, at which point the FA and the Sports Ministry will decide whether to extend it or let him go.
Chris Hughton revealed that in his capacity as the Black Stars’ head coach, he will closely monitor the Ghana Premier League and choose a few players who merit inclusion in his squad.
“As head coach, I’ll be paying attention to the game here because it’s important that the local league is doing well and I will try and see as much local football as possible”
