The highly regarded defender Jeremie Frimpong will reportedly fetch roughly 40 million euros for Bayer Leverkusen, a German professional football team.
Frimpong, who joined the team from Celtic in January 2021, has immediately established himself as a major member of Leverkusen’s defense, dashing opponents with his speed, technical skill, and defensive prowess.
With Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Jeremie Frimpong has had a fantastic season. His eight goals and five assists in 26 Bundesliga appearances attracted top clubs. In its pursuit of the quick right-back, Manchester United has reportedly taken the next step, according to Sky.
The pay station reported that the team and agents of the 22-year-old Dutchman have now held their first formal discussions.
The defender intends to move on in the summer. Manchester United is regarded as a very appealing choice.
A move for the Premier League team, on the other hand, should not be cheap. Frimpong has a current working document at the Werkself until 2025.
“I can well imagine that Leverkusen will demand around 40 million euros. I don’t think Leverkusen can keep him. I hear that the bosses would also sell it for a corresponding price,” says Sky reporter Marlon Irlbacher, assessing the situation.
“With the Brazilian Arthur, his potential successor signed at the Werkself at the weekend,” he added.
