Asante Kotoko GM Coker unsure about Dr Kyei’s future, awaits Manhyia verdict

Asante Kotoko General Manager, Yves Nana Gyambibi Coker, sounds uncertain over the status of Executive Chairman Dr Kwame Kyei as he awaits a final decision from Manhyia.

Dr Kyei’s future was speculated on Wednesday after the businessman was asked to submit his report for his three-year tenure.

The Asantehene, who is the owner of the Ghanaian giants, would normally ask the leader of the administration to submit the report before a new leader is asked to run the club.

Coker insists his boss will be given the all-clear to continue his stewardship because of his good works.

”I see nothing wrong with Manhyia’s statement, to me, it is refreshing following things going on in the airwaves. We should all wait and see what Manhyia is about to do. Manhyia follows everything going on at Kotoko,” he told Kumasi based OTEC FM.

”Looking at the statement, Manhyia will take decisions based on the report sent by Dr. Kwame Kyei.

”We will all see the need for why Manhyia took those steps after the investigations.

”I believe Manhyia is on course because no one can question the great King.”

A press statement signed by Chief of Staff of Asantehene, Kofi Badu, confirmed a committee has been set up to look into the current problems bedevilling the club.

The Ad Hoc has been tasked to investigate all the circumstances surrounding the club’s transactions [Emmanuel Clottey] with the Tunisian club Esperance which resulted in the FIFA ruling and subsequent transfer of another Asante Kotoko SC player [Kwame Bonsu] to the club.

And also Investigate the failure of Kotoko to meet its regulatory obligation for the Premier League license.
