Legendary Ghanaian football figure, Abedi Pele, couldn’t conceal his pride as he observed his son, Jordan Ayew, deliver an impressive performance on the field during Crystal Palace’s captivating clash against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Jordan Ayew, who exhibited a strong performance in the latter part of the previous season, earned a spot in Palace’s starting lineup.
Following a goalless initial half, Crystal Palace returned for the second part of the game with renewed vigour and ultimately managed to break the deadlock.
In the 49th minute, Odsonne Édouard found the back of the net, securing all three points for Roy Hodgson’s team.
Ayew made a forward move as Lerma found him in a favourable position to his right. Ayew skillfully manoeuvred past Osborn before delivering an excellent cross into the center of the box.
Édouard capitalised on this opportunity to tap in the opening goal.
Abedi Ayew Pele, who was clearly happy with his son’s performance, took to his official twitter page to tweet: “Fireworks”
