Gospel artist Nacee has discussed the importance of a campaign song he created for former President John Dramani Mahama during the 2020 general elections.
The musician revealed that the version of his song titled “Onaapo,” made for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2020 elections, significantly boosted his career.
Despite the song’s widespread popularity nationwide, Nacee acknowledged that some words he used, especially those in ‘foreign’ languages, were meaningless.
Addressing concerns about certain lyrics, such as the “Antipulci” phrase, Nacee admitted they did not have any particular meaning.
During an interview with Angel FM, the journalist asked, “so that lyrics [Antipulci], what does it mean?”
Nacee responded: “There is no sense in it.”
Meanwhile, Nacee has announced his plans to release an official campaign song for John Mahama ahead of the 2024 general elections.
