Six persons have been arrested after armed men attacked residents in the Savannah Regional town of Taletuma in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district on Saturday.
A number of houses were burnt down by the armed men alleged to be members of the Kong Paramountcy.

The attack has been linked to the refusal of the Taletuma township to pay its shea nut royalties to the Paramount chief.
Calm has however returned to the community and two people who were injured from the attack are currently receiving medical attention.
Speaking to Citi News, the Regional Commander, DCOP Enock Edutum indicated that the weapons used in perpetuating the crime have also been confiscated by his outfit.

“They were about six boys we went to the villages and arrested them…They were arrested and the guns have been retrieved. The people have been taken to the hospital…Investigations are ongoing but at the moment the place is calm.â€
