A recent viral video on Okay FM features Ghanaian counsellor Charlotte Oduro discussing how sexual dissatisfaction can significantly impact women’s happiness in marriages.
Oduro explained that hormonal imbalances often affect women’s sexual satisfaction and that many struggle to express their needs to their partners.
According to Oduro, many women express frustration and anger due to unmet sexual needs, rather than openly communicating what they want.
This lack of dialogue often leads to unhappiness, as women might not know how to convey their preferences for physical intimacy.
She emphasized that women who effectively communicate their sexual needs tend to be happier in their relationships.
Oduro encouraged women to openly share their desires with their partners to improve their marital satisfaction and maintain a positive relationship dynamic.
“You will find most women unhappy left, right and centre, and it’s not because of any other issue but sexual dissatisfaction. It is because of our hormones; it just makes us angry unprovoked.
“And that is the cause of women being unhappy in their marriages but the sad thing is they are not able to tell their spouses where to touch and how they want to be pleased and made love to. So instead of communication, most women just express anger and put on long faces.”
She said women who are happy in their homes are those who are able to communicate their sexual needs to their lovers.
“When a woman is able to communicate their needs when it comes to making love, they always have a smiley face and they are always okay. They flow and it’s because they have found someone who they can communicate their feelings with effectively,” she explained.
