Several men are dying because they’re married to just one woman – Nana Poku Ashis claims

Renowned artiste manager Nana Poku Ashis has remarked that many men are struggling significantly because they are confined to monogamous marriages.

He explained that these men find themselves in challenging situations where remarrying could offer them some peace of mind. However, they have restricted themselves to just one partner, which is affecting their well-being and peace.

Mr Ashis recounted during a conversation on United Showbiz, a story about a friend contemplating marrying a younger woman to invigorate his unhappy marriage.

Ashis elaborated that although his friend believes this younger woman could bring more excitement to his life, he is hesitant due to concerns about societal judgment and potential backlash from his current wife, including fears of severe consequences such as losing his property or even facing violence.

“A lot of men are unhappy in their single marriages, but due to cultural norms and societal expectations, they remain in these unsatisfactory relationships. They are lying to themselves and killing themselves, knowing very well that the single marriage is not working for them. Even their wives are aware of this,” Ashis said.

“I have a friend who wants to marry a younger woman to improve his marital life. He is concerned about being judged and fears that his wife might even kill him or take his property if he pursues this,” he added.

He referred to biblical advice that suggests if someone can handle multiple marriages, they should consider doing so.

“Even the Bible says that if you can afford more than one marriage, opt for it,” he stated.

Ashis thus urged men to seek their own happiness and fulfill their desires, provided they are able to handle the responsibilities that come with a polygamous relationship.

“If you can handle it, don’t let anyone deter you from marrying more than one wife,” he advised.
