Guinness World Records (GWR) contender Seidu Rafiwu has achieved a remarkable feat by completing his attempt for the longest walk-a-thon, covering an astounding 383 kilometers from Techiman to Accra in just 96 hours.
Rafiwu’s journey began on April 27 and concluded triumphantly on April 30 at Accra’s Independence Square, marking a significant milestone in his quest for the record.
Dispelling earlier rumours of collapse and exhaustion, Rafiwu clarified that a viral video showed a recovery session during which his medical team helped alleviate any strain or discomfort, showcasing the rigorous support behind his endeavour.
This accomplishment surpasses the previous record set in 1976 by America’s Jesse Casteneda, cementing Rafiwu’s name in the annals of walking marathons.
