Sarkodie’s insult-laden track incurs netizens wrath

Netizens have descended on Sarkodie after his release of his ‘diss’ track in response to Yvonne Nelson’s memoir “I am not Yvonne Nelson”.

In the late hours of Tuesday, June 27, 2023, Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie released a song titled ‘Try Me’.

The song’s lyrics make it clear that it’s are a response to Yvonne Nelson’s claim that Sarkodie forced her to abort a child in 2010—a claim she made in her memoir, “I Am not Yvonne Nelson.”

A week ago, Sarkodie trended on social media due to information contained in the actress’ book about him, including their relationship and how she became pregnant for him and then asked him to abort the child.

A number of Ghanaians were unhappy to hear such news about the rapper because he was perceived to be a ‘gentleman’ thus all and sundry were shocked to know Sarkodie was capable of committing such an act.

In reacting to these allegations, Sarkodie in his ‘Try Me’ song went hard on Yvonne Nelson making some shocking revelations Yvonne Nelson failed to include in her memoir.

Sarkodie detailed that it was Yvonne’s sole decision to abort the pregnancy.

Although the rapper admitted that they had a relationship, he said Yvonne was only playing the victim and taking advantage of the fact that the world listens to women more than men.
