Ghanaian gospel artist Joe Mettle has expressed his current reluctance to collaborate with secular musicians, citing a need for spiritual direction.
In a Hitz FM interview on June 20, 2024, the ‘Bo Noo Ni’ singer explained his decision to decline a proposed collaboration with rapper Sarkodie, emphasizing that he is waiting for guidance from the Holy Spirit.
Mettle stated that while he and Sarkodie had discussed a potential project, he prefers to wait until he feels spiritually led to engage in such collaborations. “It’s a door I choose not to open without clear spiritual direction,” he said.
Additionally, Mettle revealed that rapper Manifest has also shown interest in working with him.
Despite their friendship, Mettle remains cautious. “Manifest has reached out several times, but I don’t want to feel pressured into making a decision,” he shared with a laugh.
“I’ll only move forward when the time feels right and I receive the necessary guidance.”
