Member of Parliament for Ningo Pampram, Sam George has called the Deputy Minister of Information “ignorant” on live TV.
The Deputy Minister was debating the member of parliament on TV3’s New Day Program on Monday morning. Speaking on the deployment of the military to the Volta Region and Oti Region, the deputy minister said the money spent on quarantining immigrants from Togo who came into Ghana during the lock down could have built a school.
Responding to the minister, Sam George said the minister “doesn’t listen” when people are talking and that is why he comes to TV to “goof” all the time.
He chided Pius Hadzide for saying the money spent on the immigrants on the border could have built a school and quizzed if the military they have deployed wouldn’t be fed and if money won’t be spent on them.
Tensions rose on the show once again when the deputy minister referred to the the member of parliament speaking his native language as “child play”. The deputy minister failed to speak his native language when he was asked to speak which called for jabs from the MP.
