Controversial media personality and musician, Blakk Rasta, has called upon Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Agyapong to fulfil his commitment to reveal alleged secret dealings involving incumbent Bantama MP, Francis Asenso-Boakye, in the government.
This comes after Asenso-Boakye emerged victorious in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries in Bantama, defeating Kennedy Agyapong’s brother, Ralph Agyapong.
Blakk Rasta highlighted that Kennedy Agyapong had previously vowed to expose Asenso-Boakye’s purported corrupt practices if his brother failed to secure victory in the NPP primaries.
Speaking on the UrbanBlend show on 3FM, Blakk Rasta eagerly awaits the “real showdown” promised by Kennedy Agyapong, emphasising the need for transparency in addressing potential corruption.
The NPP parliamentary primaries, held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, saw Asenso-Boakye securing 78.22% of the votes in the Bantama constituency, while Ralph Agyapong received 21.78%.
Blakk Rasta’s call adds intrigue to the aftermath of the primaries, urging Kennedy Agyapong to substantiate his earlier claims against Asenso-Boakye.
“Kennedy Agyapong called him [Asenso-Boakye] so many names, including the fact that his mother was a seller and other things. He accused him of being a thief and that if they voted for him, the real showdown would come. He would expose Asenso-Boakye as a fraudster and a thief.
“Remember we spoke about it and asked, so if they vote for your brother [Ralph Agyapong], are you not going to come down with a showdown now? Your brother didn’t win. I’m waiting for the real showdown,” said Blakk Rasta.
