Media personality and broadcaster Kwasi Aboagye has urged actor and comedian Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, known as Dr. Likee, to reconsider his decision to quit acting.
Dr Likee, a well-known skit maker, recently announced his intention to end his acting career due to stress, false accusations from trusted individuals, and negative comments on social media, a decision he revealed after returning to Ghana from the UK.
During a discussion on Neat FM on July 31, 2024, Aboagye expressed concern about Dr Likee’s potential career change, noting that acting and content creation are his primary sources of income.
He emphasized the importance of perseverance, drawing parallels with successful individuals like Elon Musk and Dr Kwame Despite.
Aboagye advised Dr Likee to focus on the positive aspects of his career and to ignore negative influences.
He questioned, “If you stop this, what would you do? Would you go and sell bread? This is what is giving you your daily bread. Do you think Elon Musk and Dr Kwame Despite would retire or quit?”
Encouraging Dr Likee to continue his work, Aboagye added, “Look at the positives and focus on what you’re doing. Just because of what some people have done to you, you want to quit. Forget those toxic people and continue what you’re doing.
This isn’t something that should make you quit.”
