Ghanaian songstress Sister Derby has disclosed her reasons for not wanting to pursue another relationship. During a recent interview on Okay FM, Sister Derby shared that, due to the heartbreaks she has endured throughout her life, she has chosen not to enter into another romantic relationship.
“Whenever I am in a relationship, I go all out for the person. I always put the people I love ahead of my needs. When I am in a relationship, I invest all my energy and resources which ends up draining me and slowing me down. I get turned off when I realize the affection is only one-sided.” Sister Derby revealed.
After her failed relationship with rapper Medikal, Sister Derby tried to move on by getting into another relationship but it didn’t go well.
After Sister Derby’s breakup with Medikal, she maintained a low profile regarding her romantic life until November 2021 when she introduced David as her new partner. They publicly confirmed their relationship during Valentine’s Day, garnering significant attention with their affectionate photos.
However, Sister Derby and David have since separated, and the reason for their breakup remains undisclosed. A visit to Sister Derby’s Instagram page reveals that she has unfollowed David and removed all their pictures together.
Likewise, David has also unfollowed Sister Derby and deleted their shared photos. Both have seemingly erased all traces of their past together from the internet, indicating a definitive separation.
Before this breakup, Sister Derby was recently spotted without the promise ring she received from David. It appears that her plans to marry David did not come to fruition, leaving her in a state of disappointment and uncertainty.
Sister Derby has evidently chosen to move on from this relationship after experiencing various emotions and challenges.
