Recruitment: Police begin notifying applicants of medical results

The Ghana Police Service has begun the process of notifying applicants who went through the medical examinations of its General Recruitment process of their test results.

According to a statement signed by ACP David S. Eklu, Director-General/Public Affairs candidates who passed the medical examinations are being notified through the email addresses they provided indicating the dates they are to report at the Police Headquarters for vetting.

The statement added that other candidates who did not pass the medical examination “will be notified and if in doubt may contact the Police Hospital for further information on their medical status if they so wish”.

The statement also reminded the public to be wary of fake social media recruitment scams.

Police to recruit 4,000 personnel

President Akufo-Addo during a four-day tour of the Central Region on September 16 said that over 4,000 Police personnel would be recruited into the service in 2018.

He added that the Police service will also be adequately resourced to enable its officers to fight crime

“We are recruiting over 4,000 more people into the police service. We are also giving them equipment to give force to our police service. I will make sure that our police service is properly looked after, properly resources; my government will do exactly that,” he said.
