“Pray for me, I don’t want to die” – TG Omori pleads after failed kidney transplant

Nigerian music director and cinematographer ThankGod Omori Smith, widely known as TG Omori or Boy Director, has disclosed that his recent kidney transplant was unsuccessful.

This announcement follows his earlier revelation that his brother had donated one of his kidneys.

On August 28, 2024, TG Omori shared his health struggles, asking for prayers as he faces this setback.

He posted on social media, “One year after my kidney failed, I had a transplant at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos, but it didn’t work. Please pray for me; I’m not ready to die.”

The transplant surgery took place on August 26, 2024, and TG Omori mentioned he has undergone surgery three times so far. His kidney issues began last year.

TG Omori is known for his work with various Ghanaian artists, including Shatta Wale, Black Sherif, and Camidoh.
