In an intelligence-driven operation, the Police have apprehended Raymond Asoke, Noeyelle Bridget, and Raheem Fasilat for stealing medicine boxes from Bolgatanga Regional Hospital.
Raymond Asoke, a driver at the hospital, was caught on August 4th, 2023, loading medicine boxes from an unmarked house into a saloon car. A subsequent search of the car revealed twelve medicine boxes, while twenty-two more were found in the house.
The investigation led to the arrest of Noeyelle Bridget, the Assistant Dispensary Officer, and Raheem Fasilat, the Regional storekeeper, who admitted to providing the stolen medicines to the driver.
The three suspects are in custody and will face legal proceedings. Ongoing investigations aim to identify other accomplices and determine the purpose of the stolen medicines.
