The People’s National Convention (PNC) is gearing up to hold internal elections across the nation in the coming months.
With regional elections slated to unfold between January 15 and 31, 2024, the People’s National Convention (PNC) is poised for a series of internal contests. The momentum continues with national elections on March 2, 2024, and culminates in the highly anticipated presidential elections scheduled for March 24, 2024. The PNC gears up for a comprehensive electoral process, marking significant milestones in the months ahead.
Prospective candidates, meeting the eligibility criteria, are advised to procure their nomination forms from both regional and national offices, commencing January 4, 2024, to officially enter the upcoming elections.
As per a statement issued on January 2, the PNC delineated the filing fees applicable to different positions.
Flagbearer hopefuls are required to pay GHS100,000, while the positions of vice-chairperson and general secretary have filing fees set at GHS25,000.
Aspirants for the national organiser position are to pay GHS15,000.
“The fee for the presidential candidature is GHS100,000. For the national chairperson, the fee is GHS35,000.
“The vice chairperson and general secretary will each pay GHS25,000, while the national organizer aspirants will pay GHS15,000.”
“The national women’s organizer, national treasurer, and national youth organizer aspirants will each pay GHS10,000.
“Deputy positions’ aspirants in the national elections will need to pay GHS5,000 each,” an excerpt of the statement said.
