Once again, the Ashanti Regional Pig Famers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has announced an increase in the price of its goods (pork) from GH18 to GH22 beginning December 1, 2022.
The increase is the result of rising production costs, according to Philemon Kwabena Ampongsie, PFAG’s Ashanti Regional Secretary.
During a press conference in Kumasi, Mr. Ampongsie announced the news.
He said that as long as manufacturing costs, such as the cost of pig feed, continue to rise, their businesses will suffer.
He pointed out that in order to save their firm, this has forced an upward adjustment.
He appealed to the public to bear with the Association by accepting the marginal increase as efforts are being made to grow the pig farming industry.
