The Paramount Chief of Gonja Community in Techiman extends blessings to Seidu Rafiwu, the Guinness World Record (GWR) walkathon representative, for an extraordinary achievement.
Seidu Rafiwu, after enduring a challenging four-day Guinness World Records Walk-a-thon, received a jubilant reception from his supporters.
Amidst an atmosphere akin to a homecoming, Seidu Rafiwu sat humbly as fans and backers cheered him on.
A resident of Techiman in Ghana’s Bono East Region, Seidu Rafiwu embarked on a four-day quest to surpass the current Guinness World Record for the longest walking marathon.
Starting his ambitious journey from Techiman to Accra, Rafiwu covered a distance of 383 kilometers, aiming to surpass the 48-year-old record held by America’s Jesse Casteneda.
He successfully completed the walking marathon at Ghana’s Independence Square on Tuesday, just hours before noon.
