A video of celebrated Ghanaian musician Kwame Nsiah-Apau known popularly as Okyeame Kwame and Ghanaian musician and rapper Kofi Kinaata discussing marriage has emerged on social media.
In the video, Kofi Kinaata poses some questions and shares some concerns he has noticed among married couples. Okyeame Kwame shares his views and further provides a piece of advice.
One of the concerns Kofi Kinaata had to do with wives bringing up issues of the past at odd times. In response, Okyeame did not directly answer but noted that one cannot be selective; be okay with the good but shun the bad.
He asked Kofi Kinaata if he would be upset if his wife called him in the afternoon to continue a romantic session they had started some time ago. They both burst into laughter.
Also, doing what works for one’s marriage popped up. On the subject, Okyeame Kwame noted that it is always good for the couple to decide what works for them.
He even noted that a couple could discuss having another partner outside the marriage. He said once there is agreement, it should not be a deal breaker.
“You can be candid and say Akua, I have another girl aside from you. But if you marry I will not make it obvious. And if the girl is okay, she will agree,” he said.
