The Women’s Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Mfantseman constituency of the Central Region, Naomi Efua Acquah, has officially resigned from her position.
In a statement dated June 12, 2024, Madam Acquah explained her decision, citing a range of challenges, including intimidation, insults, segregation, discrimination, and other personal reasons.
She stressed that these difficulties have significantly impacted her health and well-being, making it untenable for her to continue in her role.
“I appreciate the opportunities I have had to serve and empower women in our community. I am proud of the work we have done together and I will also hold onto the memories as samples of partisan politics,” Madam Acquah stated.
She emphasized the need to prioritize her health and safety, noting that the negative energy associated with her position had taken a considerable toll on her.
