Former Ghanaian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Egypt during the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration and immediate past National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Alhaji Said Sinare, has argued that the NPP has not advanced beyond the rationale of its ideological origins and has instead become a mere ballot paper alternative to the NDC and the entire nation so far as the development
Alhaji Said Sinare wrote on Facebook that despite having been in power for close to seven years, the NPP lacks an ideological stance, coherent policy, and a history of good governance that would address Ghanaians’ problems.
According to him, the party has continued to be an oddity and an embarrassing ideological proposition to the people of this nation.
His comments follow his position on the just-ended presidential primaries of the NPP held on August 26th,2023 where Alhaji Bawumia emerged as the winner.
He claims that Dr. Bawumia’s victory in the most recent primaries validates his claim that the party is just a ballot-paper alternative.
According to him, after he had led this nation into an economic crisis, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s election at the NPP’s super delegate conference had been seen as a grave political error. The country’s chief economist, the central bank, had built an office complex valued at more than US$250 million after recording a historic loss of more than GHS60 billion, while the average Ghanaian did not have the purchasing power to afford it.
The founder of Zongo for NDC, Alhaji Said Sinare, who traversed the entire nation and expended all of his energy and resources to ensure that President Mahama secured the crucial and anticipated Muslim votes in the 2020 general elections, has declared that John Dramani Mahama, the party’s presidential candidate, will defeat anyone put forth by the New Patriotic Party because the NPP as a political party has nothing to offer Ghanaians.
The founder of Zongo for NDC, Alhaji Said Sinare, made an appeal to Ghanaians to vote his National Democratic Congress back into power. He said it was crucial for Ghanaians to align themselves with the formidable John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress, who has the ability to deliver the nation from its current woes.
